“Telemedicine is the ability to provide interactive healthcare, including psychotherapy, utilizing modern technology and telecommunications.” Basically, Telemedicine allows our patients to visit with our providers live over video for immediate care or capture video/still images and patient data are stored and sent to our providers for diagnosis and follow-up treatment at a later time. Whether you live in Brooklyn, Klamath Falls or in the vast expanses of Bolivia, Telemedicine is an invaluable tool in Healthcare.

Psychosocial skills training

Psychosocial skills training and development provides the individual or family with the necessary abilities to reach the highest level of independence they can. Training focuses on skills for daily living and community integration of patients with functional limitations due to psychiatric disorders or developmental disabilities. Sessions are flexible and can be integrated into a wide variety of situations (e.g., school, community, church, camps, friend visits, etc) .

Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluation/ Reevaluation

The “Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluation” (CBE)is defined as a complete gathering of ecological information through client interview, discussion with family members and/or caretakers, review of clinical records, and contact with collaborating agencies that leads to a biopsychosocial formulation, diagnoses, and treatment plan. Often, individuals and families will want to know, “Why is this happening?” At NBx we believe that “from clear diagnosis comes clear treatment”, and therefore we will conduct a Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluation/ Reevaluation. The CBE is intended to be a valuable tool to gather information about the entire person in order to clinically evaluate the individual’s need for behavioral healthcare and to determine what type of care is needed. This evaluation is completed at intake and/or at the request of the individual or parent/guardian.

Parent Coaching

We offer coaching for parents (or parents of newly adopted children) who are feeling that they need support in developing approaches and evaluating the structure of their home for their difficult to manage child. Parent coaching may also benefit families who are feeling that they are just not connecting with their child the way they would like. This “hands-on” coaching can consist of attachment therapy designed in to increase the loving, positive bond between parent and child or behavioral analysis to impact certain behaviors. Examples of parent coaching may include helping parents of kids who struggle with bedtime routines, separation issues, and tantrums.

Consultation

At your request, we are available to consult with individuals, agencies and organizations including non-custodian parents, schools, churches, primary care physicians, and psychiatrists.
